Automation Setup

You need to set up Automation to automatically collect Reviews and NPS feedback.

This is an easy 4-step process, and here are the steps you need to complete:


STEP 1 - INSTALL UNIVERSAL CODE


IMPORTANT: The UNIVERSAL CODE should only be installed once. If you have installed this code before, please don't install it again.

What is Universal Code used for?

Universal Code is a connection between your website and Kundello, used for all your automatic invites, widgets, etc.

Where to install Universal Code?

Copy and paste UNIVERSAL CODE right before the </head> tag.

Where to find Universal Code?

You can find UNIVERSAL CODE in TWO places:

1. On the API Automation - Review Requests and NPS Surveys page, which can be found under SETTINGS > AUTOMATIC SENDING > API Automation - Review Requests and NPS Surveys

2. On every WIDGET setup page - log into your admin panel, and under the main menu WIDGET tab, select any widget. The UNIVERSAL CODE will be on the left, below all widget settings options.

STEP 2 - INSTALL RESTful API cURL CODE

In this second step, you can choose which customer feedback you want to automate.

What is RESTful API cURL Code used for?

RESTful API code is used to communicate between your website and Kundello to accurately collect your customer data so the automatic Review request and NPS survey sending can be successfully performed.

What customer feedback can I Automate?

You can set up Automation for all three types of customer feedback - Business Reviews, Product Reviews and NPS Surveys, or you can automate just one or two of them - for example, Business Reviews and NPS Surveys.

According to your choice of customer feedback you'd like to collect, you will need to adjust our RESTful API cURL Code example variables with your variables and implement some programming code into your website - your programmer should do these two.

How to customize the RESTful API cURL Code?


As per our guidelines, your programmer will adjust our RESTful API cURL Code example variables with your variables.

Where to install RESTful API cURL Code?

Your programmer should perform this task. They will know where to install it.

Where to find RESTful API cURL Code?

You can find RESTful API cURL code on API Automation - Review Requests and NPS Surveys page, which can be found under SETTINGS > AUTOMATIC SENDING > API Automation - Review Requests and NPS Surveys.

Can I switch automatic Review requests or NPS survey sending ON or OFF?

Yes, whatever customer feedback you decide to automate, know that you can always switch them ON or OFF at any time with a click of a button.

To switch sending to the "ON or OFF" position, log in to your admin panel and go to the Time Delay Setup page, which can be found under SETTINGS > AUTOMATIC SENDING > TIME DELAY SETUP. If you switch the automatic requests to the "OFF" position, Kundello will not send request emails, and NO new customer data will be collected. However, already collected customer data will remain.

Once you switch the automatic requests back to the "ON" position, sending your email requests will resume, and Kundello will start collecting new customer data again.

Important: Customer data not collected during the OFF period will create a gap in Review or NPS requests. However, you can always send requests "manually" by sending single or multiple requests simultaneously.





STEP 3 - SETUP TIME DELAY

In the third step, you will set up a time delay between the customer's purchase and your Review or NPS survey requests.

Why do I need to set this up?

Your Review or NPS feedback requests must arrive in customers' inboxes at the right time. As an example, you only want to send a review request if the customer received the order he purchased from you.

What timeframe do I choose?

This is up to you as you know best how long it takes for the order to be processed and for the customer to receive it.

You can delay sending between 1 and 90 days.

Where to find settings for a time delay?

Log in to your admin panel and go to the Time Delay Setup page, which can be found under SETTINGS > AUTOMATIC SENDING > TIME DELAY SETUP.

You can select time delay in a drop menu for ALL feedback types you have set up.

STEP 4 - CUSTOMIZATION

Depending on what type of customer feedback you have decided to collect, follow the guides below to complete the customization setup:

  • Business Reviews - Choose the platform where you would like to collect Business Reviews (for example, Google Reviews), customize your email requests and review reminders.
  • Product Reviews - Customize the look of your product review widget, your email requests and review reminders,
  • Net Promoter Score (NPS) - Customize the look of your NPS survey email requests and reminders.
  • After Purchase Survey (APS) - Customize the look and questions of your After Purchase Survey popup.
