Automation Setup Guide
Automating reviews and customer feedback is a simple 5 step process:
- Install Universal Code
- Install RESTful API cURL Code
- Setup Time Delay
- Setup Sending Calendar
- Customize Reviews and Feedback Collection
Install Universal Code
Universal Code is a code snippet that connects Kundello with your website. It must be installed for everything to function properly.
NOTE: The UNIVERSAL CODE is used to communicate between your site and Kundello. It should only be installed once, NOT multiple times. If you have installed this code previously, do not install it again.
Where to install Universal code?
Copy and paste the Universal code before the </head> tag.
Where to find Universal code?
You can find Universal code in two places:
1. API Automation - Review Requests and NPS Surveys page - you can click here or login to your account and go to Settings >> Automatic Sending >> API Automation - Review Requests and NPS Surveys

2. Widget setup pages - Log in to your account, navigate to the Widget tab, choose a widget, and find the Universal code below all the settings.

Install RESTful API cURL Code
RESTful API cURL code communicates between your website and Kundello to accurately collect customer information so that you can automatically send Review requests and NPS surveys.
Where to find RESTful API cURL code?
You can find RESTful API cURL code on API Automation - Review Requests and NPS Surveys page, which can be found under "Settings >> Automatic Sending >> API Automation - Review Requests and NPS Surveys."
Setup steps (3 steps):
- Decide on the type of feedback you would like to collect:
You can set up automation for all three types of customer feedback - Business Reviews, Product Reviews and NPS Surveys. It is up to you what feedback automation you want to run. You can automate one thing or all feedback types - for example, collect just Business Reviews or Business Reviews and NPS Surveys.
- Adjust the RESTful API cURL Code
Based on the customer feedback you wish to collect, you need to adjust our RESTful API cURL Code example variables with your variables and implement programming code into your website - your programmer should handle these tasks.
As per our guidelines, your programmer will need to adjust our RESTful API cURL Code example variables with your variables.
- Install RESTful API cURL Code
Your programmer should perform this task. They will know where to install it.
Important:
Once the automation is set up, your customer information will flow to Kundello automatically. You can stop or start the flow of information at any time with a click of a button.
To switch sending to the "ON or OFF" position, simply login to your admin panel and go to the Time Delay Setup page - which can be found under "Settings >> Automatic Sending >> Time Delay Setup.
Once you switch the automatic collection to the "OFF" position, Kundello will not collect any new customer data. However, already collected customer data will remain.
Once you switch the automatic requests back to the "ON" position, the flow of customer data will resume, and Kundello will start collecting new customer data again.
Please note that if customer data is not collected during the offline period, it will result in a gap in sending Review or NPS requests via Kundello. This means that Kundello will not be able to import the data automatically. However, you always have the option to send Business Review and NPS requests manually. Please note that this does not apply to Product Reviews, as they can only sent automatically.
Setup Time Delay
In the third step, you will set up a time delay between the customer's purchase and your Review or NPS survey requests.
Why do I need to set this up?
Your review or NPS feedback requests need to reach customers' inboxes at the appropriate time. For instance, you should only send a review request if the customer has received the order they purchased from you.
What timeframe do I choose?
This is up to you as you are best positioned to determine how long it takes for the order to be processed and for the customer to receive it. You can delay sending between 1 and 90 days.
Here are the steps to set up a time delay:
- Log in to your admin panel
- Go to Settings >> Automatic Sending >> Time Delay Setup - or click here.
- Select time delay in a drop menu - for ALL feedback types you have set up.

Setup Sending Calendar
You can send Reviews and NPS requests 7 days per week, or you can set up your own sending calendar. The default sending schedule is 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, in the UTC zone.
Here are the steps to set up your own sending schedule:
- Go to Settings >> Automatic Sending >> Sending Calendar - or click here.
- Select the timezone, timeframe and days of the week when you'd like Kundello to send your review requests and NPS surveys.
